Hi! I’m Jessie & I’m so glad you took the time to find out a little bit more about me. I have been a stay at home military spouse and mother to three amazing kiddos for the last 11 years!  I am also, a former military-brat, so just like my children I have had the amazing opportunity to live all over the world including Hawaii, California, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Alabama, New Jersey and Germany. Whew… I’m exhausted just saying it! After many, many, and I mean many homes later we are currently first-time homeowners and we couldn’t be more excited to finally have something of our own to mold into exactly what we want.

That’s where this DIY journey all began. I am naturally a creative person, but have found a love for renovating during our new adventure as homeowners. My grandmother, Mimi was the most talented woman I have ever known and I’d like to think that she instilled as much of her talents that she could in me. I love to sew, paint, DIY, craft, woodwork, create amazing parties, design, stage, decorate, take photos, style looks…anything really creative.

I like to consider myself an unstoppable DIY-er! With normally way more than one project going at all times. This seems to really make everyone else very uncomfortable…Lol, but I can’t ever seem to get enough! I am obsessed, some might say OCD with details and love making everything around me more beautiful.

Since starting my blog and this journey my work has been featured in Apartment Therapy, BluPrint, The Home Depot Blog, Jeffrey Court Blog and The Home Depot Foundation Blog.

My goal is that you to find inspiration and courage here to really go for those DIY projects. Step outside of your comfort zone and reach for something you think is untamable. I am convinced that there is really nothing that you can’t do yourself with hard-work, patience and of course time! Thanks for joining me on this journey!
