Flooring Transformation with Novocore Flooring

If you have been following along for awhile now you would know that I have been casually helping my parents renovate their home space by space. This time around I decided to get serious and give there space a complete transformation. The best way I know how to do that is by replacing flooring. Flooring seriously makes the biggest impact and can completely give a space an entirely new look! It’s actually shocking how different the space can look. Check out this before and after! It looks like a whole new home. EKKKKKKK … and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Let me tell you all about this new flooring by Novocore Flooring.

Why Novocore Flooring?

So while picking out new floors for my parents, I had a few features I was really looking for. Novocore hit all those features and then some more that I didn’t even know I needed until now. 😉

• Waterproof

These floors are 100% waterproof and life-proof so important. They are so durable and can resit moisture and water. So they can be installed anywhere, even in usual wet areas such as bathrooms. They has have a ScratchShield Max Finish, making them resistant to scratches, daily activity, wear, and stains.

• Easy to Install

These floors were so DIY friendly. They have a quick and easy click system. My favorite part about the install is they have a ultra-stable core allowing you to install without transitions in-between rooms. Loved this feature and it is up to areas of 6200sq.ft. So I do floors all the time it feels like, so I have lots of fun tools for install but, you don’t need anything fancy for this install. You can cut the floors by scoring and snapping. As always you can also use a circular saw, table saw or floor cutter to go faster. Definitely not necessary though. The floors also come with a pre-attached backing, so no need for an additional underlayment. For this install I actually installed over a cement screed so I did need to add a moisture barrier.

• Quiet

This was so important. Novocore Q floors actually absorb noise instead of transfer noise. My parents have 5 grandkids that are always over and their dogs, the space is smaller so it is always so loud. I think this is going to be such an amazing feature that they didn’t even know was possible. Everyone is always running around, this is going to be so amazing for everyone.

Selecting Floors

So I honestly think the hardest part about flooring is actually picking the color. It can be so overwhelming to pick a completely new look just from a tiny little sample. I have a few things that I do that help tremendously help when it is decision time. So first off Novocore Q floors are available in a variety of designs and colors. So many options for whatever your style or aesthetic might be. This space is for my moms house, so everyone’s style is completely different and that is absolutely fine. You should pick the color that really speaks to you for your own personal space.

Novocore made picking a color so much easier with their online tool N-Vision. You can easily access this through your smartphone, tablet or PC.

I used their N-Vision tool to help select my flooring and it helped eliminate so much of my worry about my selection. I just took a photo of my space and uploaded it to site. It instantly showed my what the transformation would look like with any flooring color I chose. In the end I selected the Wagner from Novocore Q’s XXL Tango collection. If you look at the photo from their design tool and my after photo, it literally looks the exact same. I could completely envision the entire space so easily within seconds. I would strongly suggest taking advantage of this amazing feature before ordering or making a flooring selection.

The other suggestion I have when selecting flooring, which I do every single time. I always order at least one box of flooring and move them from room to room and line them up seeing what the will look in my actually space. It’s nice to see the actual product in your own space. So if you are still on the fence after using the on-line tool this would be the next thing I would do when picking out new floors.

Favorite Features

Okay … so let me share a few of my favorite features. First off they are so easy to maintain. Anyone who knows anything about me, we all know cleaning is by far not my strong suit. I have many other skills but, lets be serious that is not one. LOL! They can easily be cleaned by steam mop. I will include a maintenance guide link as well for you HERE.

Next I Absolutely love their color selection. The color collection is absolutely amazing. I again went with the Wagner from the Novocore Q Collection, which was more of an ashy tone. I choose this for this space because it is smaller and it totally made the space come to life. Everything looks so much bigger, airy, modern and fresh. Yaaassssss!! Who doesn’t want that!

The other feature I couldn’t get enough of was the actually plank width. The sizing was so nice and looked so modern in comparison to their previous flooring. It seriously opened up the entire home. I love what these floors did to this space. Such a complete transformation.
