Jeffrey Court Renovation Challenge ~ Final Reveal

Well, that’s a wrap on The Jeffrey Court Renovation Challenge! I can’t even believe how quickly 6 weeks flew by. I’m not going to lie, completely renovating a Master Bathroom in 6 weeks is not for the faint of heart. This was by FAR the hardest project I have done thus far. Literally every single inch of my body hurts and I am starting to resemble a homeless person right about now. Not to mention, I am failing in all other parts of my life, wife, mother, friend, etc. I have been working non-stop on this project, down till the very last hour in the competition…all the sweat, blood (there really was blood), and oh my goodness the tears and so so much coffee were all completely worth it in the end though.

So, let’s recap and start from the beginning. I would like to say it’s so hard to remember the bathroom looking like this, but it is burned into my brain. This seriously was the worst bathroom I have ever seen. The space was so tight and dark. It was like being in a long hallway. Just walking into the bathroom in the morning was so depressing. The blue vanity and shower was the all time kicker in the space.

Remember all the walls, trim and cabinets were all the same color…Amazing!!! Yikes!

Only in the last few days, have things starting looking better. Sometimes things have to get worse before they can better!! Demo day turned into Demo week…Two weeks that is. Whew…one day is amazing to get all your aggression out, anything after that is just painful!!

Jeffrey Court Challenge Cleaning the Demo Space

Here are a few of the cool features I added in the last week. At the last minute, I realized that I need way more space than I had with just my vanity and I ended up adding Medicine Cabinets into the wall behind the mirrors. So So So much work, but I think I am going to be so grateful for these big guys every single day!!! I also decided to add shiplap to the ceiling. Normally, I make my own shiplap but because this is in a bathroom with lots of moisture, I used shiplap with tongue and grove so that it would keep the moisture off the ceiling. After finishing the tiling, came the fun stuff adding the final touches; lighting, shower fixtures, faucets, shelves, towel hooks, and of course decorating the space.

While doing this challenge for Jeffrey Court, I also would like to share how this is adding value to our home in partnership with Homes.com. As you probably noticed in the before pictures, our Master Bathroom was not a great selling point when we bought our home. There might have been tears when I first saw the room! All the bathrooms were so awful, the photos were left off the home listing.

Bathroom renovations are one of the best return on investment home improvements you can do to your home. It can sometimes bring you 50% of the money you invested back into your pocketbook…that is a WIN to me!! As a military family, I am pretty sure we will have to sell this house one day and I know all this hard work will benefit not only my enjoyment of the bathroom but also put money into our wallets when we go to sell. Buyers will love all the nice to have upgrades and the must have space in the Master Bathroom…I know I will enjoy it so much better than the blue craziness that was going on before.

So here is it….the BIG Reveal!

I have been blown away by all of the love and support I have received during the challenge … Thank you so very much and I greatly appreciate everyone’s support!!  Also, thank you to Jeffrey Court and Homes.com for sponsoring this amazing challenge and allowing me to be a part of it. I learned so much and have the most incredible new space in my house, I could not be happier. Hope you enjoyed following along my Master Bathroom renovation journey…now I am off to rest!

What a beautiful bathroom! I am planning to renovate our master bathroom, and I love what you did here! Would you be able to share where you sourced the medicine cabinets, vanity/sinks, and shelves over the toilet? Thank you!

Thank you so much! I should have everything sourced soon! The mirrors are Pottery Barn and the shelves I made myself! 😉
