All right guys…the weeks are just flying by and here we are finishing up Week 3 of the Jeffrey Court Renovation! So, I originally said that was going to try to do this renovation all on my own, but this week was all about the professionals. Sometimes no matter how hard you try or how many YouTube videos you watch, you just have to call in the BIG guns and that’s exactly what happened this week.
Super, SUPER excited that today is the day I finally get to share with you the BIG reveal for my Modern DIYers Workspace. I am not going to lie the last 6 weeks has not been easy and I literally worked up until the last day finishing up this space. 6 week sounds so long but when reality hits and the projects start the time just flies right by. So…here it is…A fresh look on a DIYers Workspace. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s functional, chic, modern, and colorful…all the good stuff packed into one space and guess what…It’s all mine. I have the most beautiful space to work in, a place where creativity can absolutely thrive.
As always, it is so inspiring to see all the other guest participants designs and of course the featured designers, as well. Be sure to have a look on the One Room Challenge (ORC) Blog site to see all the amazing projects going on.
So, Week 4 of the One Room Challenge is all done….I don’t know how this keeps happening, but the weeks are just flying by. As we go into Week 5, I really cannot believe we only have two more weeks to go. Time to punch it into high gear now!
Super Exciting…our blog has been up and going now for six months, so we thought it was a perfect time to kick things to the next level or at least try! 😉 We are so excited to try something new and have joined the One Room Challenge (ORC) as guest participants for the first time.
For the Challenge, we have six weeks to completely transform a space. Every Thursday for the following six weeks we will share the progress we have made and all the trials we have had to over come to finish a space in a 6 week period. Deciding on which space was the biggest debate; bathroom, laundry room, outdoor living space…so many options!
In the end I have decided to transform my 5th bedroom from a crazy hoarders closet into a magical workspace. Like always, I will be doing all the DIY’s myself. I have big plans for this little space…accent wall with DIY Peg Boards, wallpaper, new flooring, new light fixture, built-in desk, tons of storage and lots and lots of painting. We hope you following along on instagram @eyeinthedetail. Now wish us luck and let’s bang this room out!!
Today I’m going to share with you my DIY Barn Door for under $75! If you have been following along you would know that I am trying to redo my whole house, one room at a time. This door is the final thing to finish off my sitting-room. When we moved in the door going into the basement opened into our main living space. Originally, I took the doors off the hinges for the movers on our moving day because it kept getting in the way. Once it was off, I knew it was never going back on. A Barn Door would be the best option for that space. I kept looking at them and all I could see was dollar signs, which don’t really bother me, but they sure do bother my hubby…hehe! A DIY Barn Door seemed like the obvious choice!
Just thought I would pop in this week and share my final look of my fireplace makeover! Do you remember last week when I shared my half finished Shiplap photo? I thought I could bang-out a super quick project in-between getting all the kids off to school. The girls leave around 8:30 and my little guy leaves around 11, so that gives me 2.5 hours. Obviously I must have fallen out of bed that morning and hit my head because I’m not sure what I was thinking.
Does this ever happen to anyone else? Or am I completely alone? I often get an idea in my head of something I should do, even though there are 500 other more important things I should be doing and I just can’t help myself.
