Can you believe it?? Spring is here…and we all survived another Winter, some of us better then others! 😉 So, let’s finally let Spring into our homes. Nothing is better than opening up those windows and letting the fresh air and light into our homes. This year for Spring, I am trying to keep it light and airy in my decor. Lots of neutrals and greenery everywhere!
It is hard to tell from the weather lately, at least where I am, but Spring is just around the corner. Really, it is, I promise…the flowers and trees will be blooming and we all will be sneezing and swatting away the bugs in no time. That means it is time to get the house ready for the Spring season. The easiest place for me to start is with the porch. This year I was thinking of adding a standing sign for something a little bit different. This year for Valentine’s Day, I wanted to add a Modern twist to my decor. I thought it would be fun to try something a little different from the traditional red, pink and hearts but also, still stay true to the holiday’s fun, flirty style. I did a background of black and white, with pops of color using mostly pink and green. Then added lots of unique, easy and creative DIY’s that everyone can do. Also, remember it’s all about the details! If you look careful at all the pictures the final touches really finish off each space! 😉
Ever since our Flohmarkt days in Germany, I have been looking for the perfect entryway bench. I found a few benches in Germany but something was always not quite right, i.e. too big, expensive, ornate, or just not what I envisioned. While looking through Facebook marketplace (my new favorite pastime), I came across gossip benches…and I love them so much!! The little seat and shelf is so cute and unique. One just so happened to pop up so I snagged it…super lucky! I thought this would be a great project to paint and try out a new paint I had been checking out at a local store.
