Cookie exchanges are very popular during the holiday season and it is always a challenge to come up with new and different cookies for each exchange. I saw this recipe on a morning talk show a really long time ago and I have made it almost every year since. These almond cookies are so delicious…almost like a shortbread, which I love. Not to mention they go great with coffee!!
Holidays are a great time for family memories and sharing meals with our loved ones. Every family has their own traditions and favorite dishes that they love or have at all holiday gatherings. One of my families most requested dishes is my Mom’s Jello Fluff. She has made it in many different flavors; raspberry, lime, orange, strawberry, the possibilities are as endless as jello flavors. Usually, I make the fluff with raspberry jello, but orange is delicious too. I am guessing my Mom started making it because my brother and I would not touch cranberry sauce and it has been on our holiday table ever since. I make it every year now too since it doesn’t seem like a holiday without it!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, the air gets crisp and the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon is everywhere. I enjoy almost all things pumpkin; lattes, pasta, bread, muffins, and especially pumpkin cookies. I found a recipe a while ago and tweaked it over the years to make it just right. These cookies are a great treat to bring to a potluck or party in the fall season and always go fast. Even my kids who claim to dislike anything pumpkin will eat them!!
