Welcome to Eye in the Detail…Jessie and I are so excited to start out our new adventure together with all of you!!!

During our 3 years spent living overseas while stationed in Germany, we found a mutual love of DIY and coffee, lots and lots of coffee!!! We shared our ideas on our houses, kids birthday parties, school projects, clothes, and so much more. I would love to believe I have an eye for design, but lets be serious Jessie is the one with vision and a natural talent for making everything (and everyone) look better, my eyebrows included!! Now, she has her very own house and lots of power tools…watch out!

What better way to document all the amazing visions she comes up with then with a blog? I will get in on the creative action too, but on a smaller scale for the time being with some quick craft and DIY projects. Right now, I am enjoying the left-brained side of website developing and writing. By combining both of our strengths and talents ,we become one amazing blog writing team!!!

Our focus in this blog will be mostly design, DIY projects, staging for the seasons, and some larger renovations. Eventually it may venture off into other topics because we are Moms and have lots going on in that department too. There are always parties, birthdays, teacher gifts, school events to take care of that require lots of creativity…if anyone has been to a party of Jessie’s we may need get working on this stat!! Mostly, we are hoping by sharing our projects and ideas we will be inspiring creativity and maybe help others in their own designs.
